MINI-345 Door/Window Sensor
The Versa MINI-345 is a 345 MHz single-zone door and window transmitter that enrolls into Honeywell VISTA, Resideo PROA7, and 2GIG GC2, GC3, and Edge panels as a standard supervised perimeter zone.
Install it in three moves: drop in the CR2032 battery, mount the transmitter and magnet on the door or window, then enroll the built-in serial number at your panel. The MINI-345 shares the footprint of the Resideo 5800MINI, so it drops into the same mounting location on any 5800-series compatible panel. Full steps, specs, and the printable PDF are below.
What you are installing
The MINI-345 is a fully supervised, single-zone door/window contact operating at 345 MHz. It reports open, close, tamper, and low-battery conditions to the panel, and its patented Bluefield blue LED confirms magnet alignment while you are still holding the parts — so you set the gap right the first time.

LED indicators
The MINI-345 has three status LEDs. The blue and green LEDs are active for 15 minutes after the battery is first installed or the cover is removed — remove the cover any time to reactivate them for testing.

Choosing a mounting location
Pick the spot before you commit the tape. Good placement is what keeps the sensor reliable for years.
- Mount the transmitter where it stays stationary, and mount the magnet on the moving part of the door or window.
- Verify adequate signal strength using the control panel's Go/No Go test (see the panel's instructions) before mounting permanently.
- Avoid locations exposed to moisture, or where the operating temperature range of 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C) would be exceeded.
- Keep the MINI-345 and magnet away from metal or metallic surfaces such as foil wallpaper.
- Avoid areas with a large quantity of metal or electrical wiring, such as a furnace or utility room.
Installation steps
Install the battery
- Slide open the cover.
- Install the battery with the "+" side up.
- Replace the cover.
The blue and green LEDs will be active for 15 minutes. To reactivate them later, remove the cover.
Mount the MINI-345 and magnet
- Mount the MINI-345 on the frame of the protected door or window using the double-faced tape (supplied).
- Mount the magnet (supplied) on the protected door, or on the opening portion of the protected window.
- Check that the blue LED lights when the door or window is closed — that confirms the magnet is within the 1" range.
Align the magnet alongside the marked edge of the transmitter. Keep the two bodies parallel and close; a magnet mounted crooked or too far away will not trip the reed switch reliably.
Enrolling the MINI-345 at your panel
The MINI-345 programs as a standard supervised door/window (perimeter) zone. The general sequence is below; always confirm the exact steps in your control panel's installation instructions.
Learn the sensor in
- Place your panel in autolearn (add sensor / auto-enroll) mode.
- Open and close the magnet to send a signal the panel can capture.
- Customize the zone name and settings, then touch ADD to save.
Battery replacement
- Vertically slide open the cover and remove the old battery.
- Install a fresh battery with the + side up (see Specifications for the compatible battery).
- Replace the cover.
