MINI-345
The Versa Wireless MINI-345 is a 345 MHz wireless door and window sensor. It works on Honeywell VISTA, Honeywell Lyric, and 2GIG panels, and on Resideo PROA7 panels fitted with a PROTAKEOVER module. It is a drop-in replacement for the Resideo 5800MINI. The body is the same size, so it mounts in the same spot and programs as the same kind of zone.
One part covers both panel families. The MINI-345 sends on the Honeywell and Resideo 5800-series protocol at 345 MHz, and 2GIG GC2, GC3, EDGE and GC Touch panels read 5800-series sensors natively. That is why a single SKU enrolls on a VISTA and on a 2GIG. There is no separate model to stock for each brand. See the panel-by-panel install guide for the steps on each one.
The cover slides off instead of prying off. Battery changes and color changes take seconds, and the sensor never leaves the frame. The blue Bluefield LED lights while the magnet is in range, so you can confirm placement at the door before you commit the tape. That LED runs for 15 minutes after you fit the battery or lift the cover. Lift the cover again to restart it.

Panel compatibility
The MINI-345 is a 345 MHz door and window sensor, so it enrolls on any panel with a 345 MHz 5800-series receiver. On a Honeywell VISTA that means a 5800-series receiver. The Lyric has the 345 MHz receiver built in, so it needs nothing extra. 2GIG GC2, GC3, EDGE and GC Touch also read these sensors as supplied. A Resideo PROA7 or PROA7PLUS needs a PROTAKEOVER module, set to rotary position 0 for 5800. On every one of them the magnetic contact is Loop 1, and the sensor programs as a standard supervised perimeter zone. What panels work with the MINI-345?
Any panel that receives 345 MHz 5800-series sensors. That means Honeywell VISTA with a 5800-series receiver, and Honeywell Lyric, which has one built in. It also means 2GIG GC2, GC3, EDGE and GC Touch. A Resideo PROA7 or PROA7PLUS needs a PROTAKEOVER module set to rotary 0.
Does the MINI-345 work with 2GIG panels?
Yes. If you need a 2GIG door window sensor, this is the part. 2GIG GC2, GC3, EDGE and GC Touch read Honeywell 5800-series sensors natively at 345 MHz, and that is the protocol the MINI-345 sends on. So you do not need a different part number for 2GIG. The same sensor also enrolls on a Honeywell VISTA, so one alarm system stock list covers both brands.
Will the MINI-345 fit where a 5800MINI was?
The Versa MINI-345 is a direct replacement. It runs on the same 345 MHz frequency, fits the same panels, and has the same 2.2 in. x 1 in. x 0.25 in. body, so it mounts where the old one was. Programming is the same too - it enrolls as a supervised 5800-series zone on Loop 1.

Will the MINI-345 fit where a 5816 was?
For a normal door or window, yes. The MINI-345 is a 345 MHz 5800-series contact, so it enrolls on VISTA, Lyric, PROA7 and 2GIG panels the same way a 5816 does. Check the loop when you re-enroll: the MINI-345 reports on Loop 1. A 5816 used as a plain door contact reports on its own reed input, which is Loop 2 on that part.
One case is different. The 5816 also has screw terminals for a wired contact loop, and the MINI-345 is self-contained. If the 5816 you are replacing has a wired loop on those terminals, that zone needs a different part. The 5816 alternative guide covers both cases.
How do I add the MINI-345 to a panel?
1. Slide the cover open and fit the CR2032 with the plus side up, then replace the cover.
2. Put the panel in auto-learn mode and open and close the magnet. The sensor sends its serial number.
3. Name the zone and set the zone type, then save. Use Loop 1 for the magnetic contact.

Why did the blue magnet LED stop lighting?
It is on a timer. The blue and green LEDs run for 15 minutes after you install the battery or take the cover off, then they go quiet to save the battery. Lift the cover again and you get another 15 minutes. This is normal, and it is worth knowing before you decide a sensor is faulty.
How far can the magnet sit from the sensor?
Up to 1 in. on wood and up to 1/4 in. on metal. Metal frames cut the gap, so check the blue LED with the door closed before you commit the tape.
What battery does the MINI-345 use?
One Panasonic CR2032 3 V lithium coin cell, 225 mAh, rated 5+ years. The cover slides off, so you can change it with the sensor still on the frame. The red LED flashes every 5 seconds for two minutes after a transmission when the battery is low.

Install note: the sensor operates indoors only, from 32 to 122 deg F (0 to 50 deg C). Mount the sensor on the fixed frame and the magnet on the moving door or window. Choose a spot away from foil-backed wallpaper, large metal surfaces and heavy electrical wiring, and run the panel Go / No Go test before the tape goes down. Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 212 deg F (100 deg C), or incinerate the battery. Keep new and used batteries away from children.
