Overview
One door and window contact for every panel family
Versa Wireless door and window sensors come in three frequencies, so there's a MINI for the panel you're already installing. If the panel receives 319.5 MHz, like a Qolsys IQ or a GE/Interlogix-class panel, you want the MINI-319. For the Honeywell, Resideo and 2GIG side of the market at 345 MHz, you want the MINI-345. And for a DSC PowerSeries, Impassa or Alexor on 433 MHz, the MINI-433 is your part. All three share the same 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. body, the same slide-off cover and the same 5+ year CR2032. So once you've learned one of them, you've learned all three.
That quarter inch of depth is the whole point. The transmitter sits nearly flush on tight casing and in narrow window channels where a thicker contact won't fit. The magnet holds up to 1 in. of standoff on wood and 1/4 in. on metal. So a door that doesn't sit tight to its frame still reads closed, and the reed switch reports open the moment the magnet leaves range. On the MINI-319 and MINI-345 a cover tamper reports when the housing is opened, so the panel sees that too.
Every sensor on this page carries the patented Bluefield install LED, and that's what changes the job. The blue LED lights when the magnet is within range. So you set the magnet and confirm the blue LED at the closed position. Then you press the tape down while you're still standing at the opening. On the three MINI contacts a green LED flashes on every transmission, and red means the battery is low. That way you watch the signal leave the sensor, with no walk back to the keypad and no chime test by ear.
Where the frame takes the hit, add the SHOCK-319. It's a shock sensor and a door contact on one 319.5 MHz zone. So it catches prying and kicking while the attack is still happening, and it reports the opening too. You tune it on a dial once it's mounted, and it runs 8+ years on one CR2 cell. The brown and black cover packs slide on by hand. So the base stays on the frame and the sensor stays enrolled when you match the trim.

Qolsys IQ and GE/Interlogix
Qolsys IQ Panel 2+, IQ Panel 4 and IQ Panel 5, once the Qolsys 319.5 MHz SRF card is in the slot. The same goes for GE/Interlogix-class 319.5 MHz panels. Both sensors enroll in autolearn as a standard supervised zone, the same way as any other 319.5 MHz contact.
Honeywell, Resideo and 2GIG
Honeywell VISTA with a 5800-series receiver, Honeywell Lyric, and 2GIG GC2 / GC3 / EDGE / GC Touch. A Resideo PROA7 or PROA7PLUS hears it through a PROTAKEOVER module set to rotary 0. It's the same-size drop-in for the 5800MINI, and it programs on Loop 1.
DSC PowerSeries, Impassa and Alexor
DSC PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 with a 433 MHz receiver such as the RF5132-433. The DSC Impassa and DSC Alexor receive 433 MHz already, so they take it as they are. It's one-way 433 MHz, and you program it as a standard contact zone.

Setup
Add any Versa contact to a panel
Fit the battery
Slide the cover off and fit the cell with the plus side up. On the SHOCK-319 that's the plus end up on the CR2. Set its REED SW DIP switch first if you want the door contact as well as shock. The install LEDs come on as soon as the battery is in, so you're ready to place the magnet.
Put the panel in learn mode
Autolearn covers Qolsys, GE/Interlogix, Honeywell, Resideo and 2GIG. You open and close the magnet once, and the panel picks up the serial number. On a DSC panel you start wireless enrollment, then send the ID by opening or closing the magnet. Or you can type the serial number in during programming.
Set the magnet by the blue LED
Hold the magnet at the closed position and watch for blue, which means it's in range. The gap is up to 1 in. on wood or 1/4 in. on metal. On the MINI contacts the green LED flashes as the sensor transmits, so you see the signal leave.
Name the zone and test
Name the zone and save it, which is ADD on a Qolsys. Then run the panel's Go/No Go test from the mounting spot before you commit the double-faced tape. On a DSC panel use its own RF signal-strength check, because the green LED only tells you the sensor sent.
The exact key presses for each panel family are on the product page and in that sensor's installation manual. Mount the transmitter on the frame and the magnet on the part that moves. Keep both clear of metal, foil wallpaper and heavy electrical wiring.

The MINI ships white, and each cover pack is ten sensor covers, ten magnet covers and ten magnet bases. They slide on by hand, so the base stays on the frame and the sensor stays enrolled. The SHOCK-319 has its own brown and black packs in the same count.

Door and window sensor questions installers ask
Which Versa door and window sensor works with my panel?
Go by the frequency your panel receives, because that's the only real difference between the three MINIs. If it's a Qolsys IQ or a GE/Interlogix-class panel, you want the MINI-319 at 319.5 MHz. Honeywell VISTA and Lyric, 2GIG and Resideo PROA7 take the MINI-345 at 345 MHz. DSC PowerSeries, Impassa and Alexor take the MINI-433 at 433 MHz. The SHOCK-319 joins the MINI-319 on the 319.5 MHz side, so you can run both on one panel.
Does a Qolsys IQ panel need anything extra to hear the MINI-319?
It needs the Qolsys 319.5 MHz SRF card in the slot. Those panels run PowerG plus one legacy band at a time, and the card sets that band. Once the card is in, the IQ Panel 2+, IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub and IQ Panel 5 all read the MINI-319. It enrolls in autolearn as a standard perimeter zone.

What is the best compact door sensor for a Qolsys IQ panel?
The MINI-319 is the one, and it measures 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. That quarter inch of depth lets it sit nearly flush on tight casing and in narrow window channels. It enrolls on a Qolsys IQ panel with the SRF card as a standard perimeter zone.
The blue Bluefield LED confirms magnet placement right at the opening, which saves you the walk back to the panel on a multi-sensor job.
Is the MINI-345 a drop-in for the Honeywell 5800MINI?
Yes. It's the same 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. body and the same Loop 1 contact. So you mount it in the same spot and program it as the same kind of zone. That holds on a VISTA, a Lyric, a 2GIG or a PROA7 with the PROTAKEOVER module. Our 5800MINI replacement guide walks through a swap.
Can I mix Versa sensors with the panel maker's own sensors?
Yes. Each MINI enrolls as a standard zone on its panel's own protocol. So it sits beside Qolsys, GE/Interlogix, Honeywell, 2GIG or DSC sensors as one more zone on the panel. That's how most installers use them, to fill out or expand a system that's already in.
Are Versa door and window sensors encrypted?
They use the standard protocol for each frequency, which is what lets them enroll on so many panels. On a Qolsys IQ panel, S-Line is Qolsys's own encryption layer for Qolsys-branded sensors. The MINI-319 enrolls beside those sensors on a supervised zone, with the panel's normal zone types.
How long do the batteries last, and how do I change one?
The MINI contacts run 5+ years on one Panasonic CR2032. The SHOCK-319 runs 8+ years on one Versa CR2U, which is a Panasonic CR2. On the MINI contacts the red LED flags a low battery first. It flashes once about every five seconds for two minutes after a transmission.
Slide the cover off by hand, swap the cell plus side up, and slide the cover back. The sensor stays on the frame and stays enrolled. On the MINI-319, MINI-345 and SHOCK-319 the cover coming off trips the tamper. So disarm the system or put it in test mode first.
