01Overview
A miniature 319.5 MHz magnetic contact
The Versa Wireless MINI-319 is a miniature wireless door and window transmitter for 319.5 MHz security systems. That's the Qolsys IQ panels, once you've fitted the 319.5 MHz SRF card, and the GE and Interlogix-class panels that have always listened on that band. It enrolls on a standard perimeter zone, so your panel treats it like any other 319.5 MHz contact it already knows.
What sets it apart is the install experience. Our patented Bluefield indicator lights a blue LED when the magnet and the transmitter are lined up and in range. So you see the answer at the opening instead of guessing. The high-power neodymium magnet gives you up to 1 in. of gap on wood and 1/4 in. on metal. And the whole transmitter is only 0.25 in. deep.
Battery service is the other thing installers notice. The lid slides off by hand, so you change the CR2032 or swap the color cover without pulling the electronics out of the plastics. And with an average battery life of 5+ years, you won't be doing that often.
Worth knowing
This sheet and the MINI-319 installation manual print the same figures. The manual adds the mounting rules, the LED legend and the regulatory statements, so keep both handy on a job.
02Features
Key features of the MINI-319
- Patented Bluefield magnet alignment, so the blue LED shows you the magnet and transmitter are clearly aligned and working before you press the tape down.
- 5+ year battery life on one Panasonic CR2032, which means fewer truck rolls for a dead cell.
- Easy-open slide lid, so battery replacements and color changes are quick, and you never pull the board out of the case.
- Pre-installed adhesive tape on the transmitter and the magnet, so you mount both on a clean frame with no drilling.
- Battery pull-tab to activate, which keeps the cell fresh until the sensor goes on the wall.
- A high-power neodymium magnet, which gives you up to 1 in. of gap on wood and 1/4 in. on metal.
- Three LEDs that tell you what's happening, blue for magnet in range, green for transmit and red for low battery.
- A 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. transmitter, so it sits nearly flush on tight casing and in narrow window channels.

04Panels
Panels the MINI-319 works with
The MINI-319 works with Qolsys IQ panels and GE/Interlogix-class panels that receive 319.5 MHz. Qolsys IQ panels hear 319.5 MHz once the Qolsys 319.5 MHz SRF card is fitted. That covers the IQ Panel 2+, IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub and IQ Panel 5. Those panels run PowerG plus one legacy band at a time, so the card in the slot decides which frequency the panel hears. Our guide to 319.5 MHz sensors on the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 and 5 lists the card part numbers and the software level.
From the box to the panel in three moves
-
Fit the battery
Slide the cover open, fit the CR2032 plus side up and slide it back on. The blue and green LEDs run for 15 minutes.
-
Learn it in
Put the panel in autolearn, then open and close the magnet once. The panel reads the built-in serial number and you name the zone.
-
Mount it
Run the Go/No Go test from the spot, then press the transmitter onto the frame and the magnet onto the door with the blue LED lit.
Documentation: the MINI-319 installation manual has the step-by-step, and the Versa panel compatibility guide matches every Versa frequency to the panels that read it.
05Dimensions
Mechanical
The transmitter and the magnet, the way you'll measure them on the bench.
| Part | Inches | Millimetres | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Transmitter | 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. | 55.9 x 25.4 x 6.4 mm | Mounts on the frame; the 0.25 in. depth is what lets it sit nearly flush on tight casing |
| Magnet | 1 x 0.25 x 0.25 in. | 25.4 x 6.35 x 6.35 mm | Mounts on the door or the opening sash, lined up with the transmitter's long edge |
| Gap, wood | 1 in. maximum | 25.4 mm | Measured between the magnet and the transmitter with the opening closed |
| Gap, metal | 1/4 in. maximum | 6.35 mm | Steel doors, aluminum frames and foil wallpaper all count as metal |
You mount both pieces with the supplied double-faced tape. Keep them off the glass and off metal surfaces, because metal pulls the magnet's field and shortens the gap you can rely on.

07FAQ
MINI-319 datasheet questions
What is the Versa MINI-319?
The MINI-319 is a miniature 319.5 MHz wireless door and window contact from Versa Wireless. It measures 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. and runs 5+ years on a single Panasonic CR2032. Our patented Bluefield indicator shows you the magnet is in range.
It enrolls on Qolsys IQ panels fitted with the 319.5 MHz SRF card and on GE/Interlogix-class 319.5 MHz panels as a standard perimeter zone.
What panels is the MINI-319 compatible with?
Qolsys IQ panels and GE/Interlogix-class panels that receive 319.5 MHz. On the Qolsys side that's the IQ Panel 2+, IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub and IQ Panel 5. Each one needs the 319.5 MHz SRF card in the slot.
Any Qolsys system that lists S-Line sensors is on the right band, so the MINI-319 sits next to them on the same panel.
What are the MINI-319 dimensions and battery?
The transmitter is 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. (55.9 x 25.4 x 6.4 mm) and the magnet is 1 x 0.25 x 0.25 in. It's powered by one Panasonic CR2032 3VDC lithium coin cell, 225 mAh, with a typical life of 5+ years.
The lid slides off, so you change the cell with the sensor still on the frame, plus side up.
How wide is the MINI-319 magnet gap?
Up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) on wood and up to 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) on metal surfaces, with a high-power neodymium rare-earth magnet doing the work. Both figures are maximums.
Metal near the magnet pulls the field, so plan on the tighter figure for steel doors and aluminum frames. Let the blue LED confirm the gap before you stick anything down.
What is Bluefield magnet alignment?
Bluefield is our patented magnet-alignment indicator. A blue LED lights when the magnet and the transmitter are clearly aligned and working. That takes the guesswork out of placement, and it cuts the callbacks you get from a magnet set too far away.
The blue LED runs for 15 minutes after you fit the battery or take the cover off, and sliding the cover off again restarts it.
Does the MINI-319 need the SRF module on a Qolsys panel?
Yes. The Qolsys IQ Panel 2+, IQ Panel 4, IQ4 Hub and IQ Panel 5 run PowerG plus one legacy band. The 319.5 MHz SRF card in the slot sets that band. With the card fitted, the MINI-319 learns in as a standard door contact.
GE and Interlogix 319.5 MHz panels receive it directly, with nothing added.
Is the MINI-319 UL listed?
The MINI-319 carries the regulatory listings UL 639 / UL 1023 and ULC-S304 / C1023. It also complies with FCC Part 15 and the ISED Canada licence-exempt RSS. Those are the same listings as the MINI-345.
The humidity rating was UL tested at 85 percent, with a 95 percent non-condensing limit.
How is the MINI-319 different from the MINI-345 and MINI-433?
Only the radio. The MINI-319 is 319.5 MHz for Qolsys IQ and GE/Interlogix, the MINI-345 is 345 MHz for Honeywell, Resideo and 2GIG, and the MINI-433 is 433 MHz for DSC.
The housing, the Bluefield LED, the slide-off cover and the CR2032 are the same on all three, so you learn one sensor and fit every panel.
