MINI-319 Door/Window Sensor

The MINI-319 is a single-zone 319.5 MHz wireless door/window transmitter that enrolls as a supervised zone on Qolsys IQ and GE/Interlogix-class 319.5 MHz alarm panels.

Installation is three steps: install the CR2032 battery, mount the transmitter on the frame with the magnet on the moving door or window, then enroll the built-in serial number in your panel's auto-learn mode. The blue Bluefield LED confirms the magnet is in range so you set placement once, without walking back to the panel.

Before you begin You need the supplied MINI-319 transmitter, magnet, and double-faced tape, one Panasonic CR2032 3VDC lithium coin cell, and access to your control panel's programming or auto-learn mode. No tools are required to open the housing — the cover slides off by hand.

LED indicators

The MINI-319 uses a three-color LED set. The blue and green LEDs stay active for 15 minutes after the battery is first installed or the cover is removed; slide the cover off again to reactivate them.

LED Meaning
Blue Lights when the magnet is within proper range of the MINI-319 (1" max). Active for 15 minutes after the battery is first installed or when the cover is removed.
Green Flashes when the MINI-319 transmits. Active for 15 minutes after the battery is first installed or when the cover is removed.
Red On a low-battery condition, flashes once about every five seconds for two minutes after a transmission.

Choosing a mounting location

Pick a spot where the transmitter is stationary and the magnet mounts to the moving part of the door or window. Before you commit the tape, verify adequate signal strength using your control panel's Go/No Go test (see the panel's instructions).

  • Avoid areas exposed to moisture, or where the operating temperature of 32 to 122°F (0 to 50°C) will be exceeded.
  • Keep the MINI-319 and magnet away from metal or metallic surfaces such as foil wallpaper.
  • Avoid mounting in areas with a large quantity of metal or electrical wiring, such as a furnace or utility room.
  • Mount on the door or window frame — not directly on glass.

Installation steps

Step 1

Install the battery

  1. Slide open the cover.
  2. Install the battery with the "+" side up.
  3. Replace the cover.

The blue and green LEDs will be active for 15 minutes. To reactivate them later, remove the cover.

Step 2

Mount the MINI-319 and magnet

  1. Mount the MINI-319 on the frame of the protected door or window using the supplied double-faced tape.
  2. Mount the supplied magnet on the protected door, or on the opening portion of the protected window.
  3. Check that the blue LED lights when the door or window is closed — that confirms the magnet is within range.

Enrolling the MINI-319 in your panel

The MINI-319 carries a built-in unique serial number that must be enrolled into the control panel. Refer to your control panel's installation instructions for programming details; the general sequence is:

Auto-learn the sensor

  1. Place your panel in "auto-learn" mode.
  2. Open, then close the magnet to trigger a transmission.
  3. Customize the zone name and settings, then touch "ADD."

Battery replacement

The MINI-319 runs on a single 3VDC Panasonic CR2032 lithium coin cell. When the red LED signals a low battery:

  1. Vertically slide open the cover and remove the old battery.
  2. Install a fresh battery with the "+" side up (see the specifications for compatible batteries).
  3. Replace the cover.
Battery caution Risk of fire, explosion, and burns. Do not recharge, disassemble, heat above 212°F (100°C), or incinerate. Dispose of used batteries properly and keep them away from children. Use of another battery may present a risk of fire or explosion.
