Qolsys Compatibility · Installer Guide
Versa's 319.5 MHz sensors work on the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 and IQ Panel 5 — but only with the 319.5 MHz SRF card installed.
The IQ Panel 4 and the newer IQ Panel 5 each ship with PowerG built in plus one legacy band, set by the SRF daughter card in the panel. With the 319.5 MHz card (IQ Card-319), the Versa MINI-319, SHOCK-319, and PIR-319 enroll as standard 319.5 MHz sensors on either panel. Here's how to confirm the card, which Versa sensors fit, and how they pair.
Does your IQ Panel 4 or 5 have the 319.5 MHz radio?
This is the first thing to confirm, because "IQ Panel 4" doesn't tell you the legacy frequency. Per the Qolsys Supported RF Sensors guide, the panel pairs PowerG (always present) with a single legacy SRF band determined by the daughter card in Slot 3. The 319.5 MHz card (IQ Card-319, part QC0001-840) enables Qolsys S-Line and legacy 319.5 MHz sensors; the panel should be on current software (4.6) to support them. Qolsys also sells the IQ Panel 4 pre-fitted with the 319.5 card as models IQP4001 (Verizon) and IQP4004 (AT&T) — those ship 319.5-ready out of the box, so check the model number: an IQP4001 or IQP4004 already reads 319.5 MHz, while a base IQ Panel 4 needs the IQ Card-319 added.
| Qolsys panel | 319.5 MHz support | What it needs | Versa 319 sensors fit? |
|---|---|---|---|
| IQ Panel 4 | With the 319.5 SRF card | IQ Card-319 (QC0001-840) in Slot 3, software 4.6 | Yes — with the card |
| IQ4 Hub / IQ4 NS | With the 319.5 SRF card | IQ Card-319 installed | Yes — with the card |
| IQ Panel 5 | With the 319.5 SRF card | IQ Card-319 installed | Yes — with the card |
| IQ Panel 2+ (319.5 / S-Line variant) | Built in | None — 319.5 on board | Yes |
| IQ Panel 4 with a 345 or 433 card | No | Swap to the 319.5 card | No — wrong card |
So the short answer to "what 319.5 MHz sensors work with the Qolsys IQ Panel 4" is: the Versa MINI-319, SHOCK-319, and PIR-319 — once the panel has the 319.5 MHz SRF card. The newer Qolsys IQ Panel 5 (and the IQ5 Hub / IQ5 NS) works the same way: it takes the same IQ Card-319 and the same 319.5 MHz Versa sensors, so everything below applies to the IQ Panel 4 and IQ Panel 5 alike.
The #1 gotcha: one legacy band per panel
The IQ Panel 4 and IQ Panel 5 each run PowerG and exactly one legacy SRF frequency at a time. If the panel shipped with the 345 MHz or 433 MHz card, a 319.5 MHz sensor will not enroll — not Versa's, not Qolsys S-Line, not Interlogix. The fix is the card, not the sensor.
Versa's 319.5 MHz sensors for the IQ Panel 4 and 5
Versa Wireless makes a three-piece 319.5 MHz line that covers the openings, the perimeter surfaces, and interior motion — a lower-cost-per-point alternative to OEM 319.5 sensors, with the patented Bluefield magnet-placement LED on the contact and shock models.
MINI-319 — door/window
Low-profile 319.5 MHz contact (2.2″ × 1″ × 0.25″) that sits flush on tight frames; Bluefield LED, 5+ year CR2032, slide-off cover.
SHOCK-319 — shock + contact
Dual-function on one zone: an adjustable shock sensor plus a door/window contact (DIP enables the reed). Catches forced-entry impact and the opening.
PIR-319 — pet-immune motion
Interior PIR with pet immunity up to 55 lb and a 30 × 40 ft pattern from a corner mount; hardware false-alarm rejection.
S-Line and legacy 319.5 compatibility
The 319.5 MHz SRF card supports both Qolsys S-Line (Qolsys's encrypted 319.5 format) and legacy 319.5 MHz sensors in the Interlogix/GE and Resolution formats. The Versa MINI-319, SHOCK-319, and PIR-319 are 319.5 MHz legacy-format sensors, so they enroll on that same card alongside any S-Line or Interlogix devices already on the system — useful when you're adding to or taking over an existing 319.5 install.
How to enroll a Versa 319.5 sensor on the IQ Panel 4 or 5
With the 319.5 SRF card confirmed, the Versa sensors pair through Qolsys's standard Auto Learn flow and report as ordinary supervised zones.
Open the sensor-add screen
From the panel: Settings → Advanced Settings → enter your installer/dealer code → Installation → Devices → Security Sensors → Auto Learn Sensor.
Trip the sensor to capture its ID
Open/close the MINI-319 (or trip the SHOCK-319 / walk-test the PIR-319). The panel chimes and auto-populates the sensor's DL/serial ID. Use the Bluefield blue LED to confirm the magnet gap (1″ on wood, 1/4″ on metal) before you set placement.
Assign group, type, and name
Pick the Sensor Group (door/window, motion, etc.), zone type, name, and chime, then save. The sensor now supervises like any 319.5 zone.

Frequently asked questions
What 319.5 MHz sensors work with the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 and 5?
Once the IQ Panel 4 or IQ Panel 5 has the 319.5 MHz SRF card (IQ Card-319) installed, it reads Qolsys S-Line and legacy 319.5 MHz sensors. The Versa MINI-319 (door/window contact), SHOCK-319 (shock + contact), and PIR-319 (pet-immune motion) are 319.5 MHz sensors that enroll as standard supervised zones, alongside Interlogix/GE devices on the same panel.
Does the IQ Panel 4 or 5 need a card to use 319.5 MHz sensors?
Yes. The IQ Panel 4 and IQ Panel 5 each have 915 MHz PowerG plus one legacy band set by the SRF daughter card. To run 319.5 MHz sensors the panel needs the 319.5 MHz card (IQ Card-319) installed — it is not drop-in without that card; a panel fitted with the 345 or 433 card will not enroll a 319.5 sensor.
Are Versa sensors S-Line compatible?
The Qolsys 319.5 MHz SRF card supports both S-Line (Qolsys's encrypted 319.5 format) and legacy 319.5 MHz sensors (Interlogix/GE and Resolution formats). The Versa MINI-319, SHOCK-319, and PIR-319 are 319.5 MHz legacy-format sensors, so they enroll on the 319.5 card alongside S-Line sensors on the same IQ Panel 4 or 5.
What is a good Qolsys-compatible wireless sensor alternative?
For 319.5 MHz Qolsys IQ panels, the Versa 319.5 line is a professional-grade alternative to OEM sensors: the MINI-319 door/window contact, SHOCK-319 shock + contact, and PIR-319 pet-immune motion. They deliver supervised 319.5 MHz performance at a lower cost per point, with the patented Bluefield magnet-placement LED for faster, verifiable installs.
Is there a combined shock and door/window contact for 319.5 MHz panels?
Yes — the Versa SHOCK-319 puts a shock/vibration sensor and a door/window contact on a single 319.5 MHz zone. A DIP switch enables or disables the reed (the contact): ON = shock + door/window contact; OFF = shock only. It detects forced-entry impact on the frame and the opening from one device.
Will Versa 319.5 sensors work on the Qolsys IQ Panel 2+?
Yes, on the 319.5 MHz (S-Line) IQ Panel 2+ variant, which has the 319.5 radio built in — no card needed. The MINI-319, SHOCK-319, and PIR-319 also work with GE/Interlogix-class 319.5 panels and Alula 319.5 controllers, all as standard supervised zones.
