01Overview
A miniature 433 MHz magnetic contact for DSC
The Versa Wireless MINI-433 is a miniature wireless door and window transmitter for 433 MHz DSC security systems. It's a one-way sensor, and it works with DSC control panels that support one-way 433 MHz. That's the DSC PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 fitted with a 433 MHz receiver such as the RF5132-433, the DSC Impassa and the DSC Alexor. On all of them it programs as a standard contact zone.
What sets it apart is the install experience. Our patented Bluefield indicator lights a blue LED when the magnet and the transmitter are lined up and in range. So you see the answer at the opening instead of guessing. The high-power neodymium magnet gives you up to 1 in. of gap on wood and 1/4 in. on metal. And the whole transmitter is only 0.25 in. deep, so it sits flat on a narrow sash instead of standing proud where the sash has to close over it.
Battery service is the other thing installers notice. The lid slides off by hand, so you change the CR2032 or swap the color cover without pulling the electronics out of the plastics. And with an average battery life of 5+ years, you won't be doing that often.
Worth knowing
This sheet and the MINI-433 installation manual print the same figures. The manual adds the mounting rules, the LED legend, the enrollment steps for each DSC family and the regulatory statements, so keep both handy on a job.
Which Versa contact?
MINI-433 when the panel is a DSC PowerSeries PC1832 or PC1864 with a 433 MHz receiver, a DSC Impassa or a DSC Alexor. Go with the MINI-319 for Qolsys IQ with the 319.5 MHz SRF card and for GE/Interlogix, and the MINI-345 for 345 MHz Honeywell, Resideo and 2GIG panels. It's the same housing, the same Bluefield LED and the same slide-off cover on all three.

Key features of the MINI-433
- Patented Bluefield magnet alignment, so the blue LED shows you the magnet and transmitter are clearly aligned and working before you press the tape down.
- 5+ year battery life on one Panasonic CR2032, which means fewer truck rolls for a dead cell.
- Easy-open slide lid, so battery replacements and color changes are quick, and you never pull the board out of the case.
- Pre-installed adhesive tape on the transmitter and the magnet, so you mount both on a clean frame with no drilling.
- Battery pull-tab to activate, which keeps the cell fresh until the sensor goes on the wall.
- A high-power neodymium magnet, which gives you up to 1 in. of gap on wood and 1/4 in. on metal.
- Three LEDs that tell you what's happening, blue for magnet in range, green for transmit and red for low battery.
- A 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. transmitter, so it sits flat in narrow window channels and on tight casing.

Mount the transmitter on the frame and the magnet on the door or sash, not on the glass. Keep both clear of metal, foil wallpaper and moisture. Fit only the specified Panasonic CR2032. Use of another battery may present a risk of fire or explosion. Keep new and used coin cells away from children.

Panels the MINI-433 works with
As a DSC door sensor the MINI-433 works with DSC control panels that support one-way 433 MHz. That's the DSC PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 fitted with a 433 MHz receiver such as the RF5132-433, the DSC Impassa, and the DSC Alexor. The Impassa and the Alexor receive 433 MHz already, so they take the MINI-433 as they are. On all of them it programs as a standard contact zone.
From the box to the panel in three moves

Fit the battery
Slide the top cover open, fit the CR2032 plus side up and slide it back the other way. The blue and green LEDs run for 15 minutes.

Send the device ID
Put the panel in its wireless enrollment mode and open or close the magnet when it asks, or type the serial number in. Then program the zone.

Mount it
Confirm signal strength the way the panel manual describes, then press the transmitter onto the frame and the magnet onto the door with the blue LED lit.

You mount both pieces with the supplied double-faced tape. Keep them off the glass and off metal surfaces, because metal pulls the magnet's field and shortens the gap you can rely on.

MINI-433 datasheet questions
What panels is the MINI-433 compatible with?
The MINI-433 works with DSC control panels that support one-way 433 MHz. That's the DSC PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 with a 433 MHz receiver such as the RF5132-433, the DSC Impassa, and the DSC Alexor.
On all of them it programs as a standard contact zone, so you set it up the way you'd set up any other 433 MHz contact on that panel.
What frequency does the MINI-433 use?
433 MHz, one-way. That's the band the DSC PowerSeries PC1832 and PC1864 hear through a 433 MHz receiver, and the band the Impassa and Alexor receive as supplied.
It's a transmit-only sensor, so it sends open, close and low-battery to the panel and doesn't listen back.
What are the MINI-433 dimensions?
The transmitter measures 2.2 x 1 x 0.25 in. (55.9 x 25.4 x 6.4 mm) and the magnet measures 1 x 0.25 x 0.25 in. The quarter-inch depth is the number that decides most jobs.
It lets the contact sit flat on a narrow sash instead of standing proud where the sash has to close over it. Keep it off metal frames, or plan on the 1/4 in. gap if you can't.
What battery does the MINI-433 use and how long does it last?
One Panasonic CR2032 3VDC lithium coin cell, 225 mAh, with a typical battery life of 5+ years. The slide-off lid lets you replace it without taking the sensor off the frame.
The red LED flags a low battery first, flashing once about every five seconds for two minutes after a transmission.
What is the MINI-433 magnet gap?
Up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) on wood and up to 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) on metal surfaces, with a high-power neodymium rare-earth magnet doing the work. Both figures are maximums.
Metal pulls the magnet's field, so plan on the tighter figure for steel doors and aluminum frames. Line the magnet up with the alignment rib and let the blue LED confirm the gap before you stick anything down.
Is the MINI-433 UL listed?
The MINI-433 carries the regulatory listings UL 639 / UL 1023 and ULC-S304 / C1023, the same set as the MINI-319 and MINI-345. It also complies with FCC Part 15 and the Industry Canada licence-exempt RSSs.
The humidity rating was UL tested at 85 percent, with a 95 percent non-condensing limit.
What is Bluefield magnet alignment?
Bluefield is our patented magnet-alignment indicator. A blue LED lights when the magnet and the transmitter are clearly aligned and working, so you confirm placement at the opening instead of at the panel.
The blue LED runs for 15 minutes after you fit the battery or take the cover off, then it sleeps. Sliding the cover off again restarts it.
How is the MINI-433 different from the MINI-319 and MINI-345?
Only the radio changes, and the panel decides which one you need. The MINI-433 is the 433 MHz version for DSC. The MINI-319 is 319.5 MHz for Qolsys IQ with the SRF card and for GE/Interlogix, and the MINI-345 is 345 MHz for Honeywell, Resideo and 2GIG.
The housing, the Bluefield LED, the slide-off cover and the CR2032 are the same on all three, so you learn one sensor and fit every panel.
