Shock-319 Black Covers (10Pk)
The Versa Wireless SHOCK-319 black sensor cover pack is a set of replacement sensor covers for the SHOCK-319 door/window and shock sensor. Each pack holds 30 pieces: 10 sensor covers, 10 magnet covers, and 10 magnet bases. That is a full black change for ten sensors, magnet included.
Black matches black window frames, dark stained wood, and painted dark trim. Most homes mix white trim, wood frames, and dark window profiles in the same job. Carrying one pack means you fit the frame you find, without stocking a separate sensor for every color. The sensor itself ships white, so these packs are the way to change it.
Most wireless sensor housings are opened the same way: work a flathead into the seam and pry, or back out a screw first. The Versa MINI and SHOCK-319 housings do not open that way. The cover slides forward off the base and lifts away by hand. The battery, the board and the color are all reachable with the base still stuck to the frame and the sensor still enrolled at the panel. Nothing is pried and nothing is unscrewed, so the part that holds your alignment never moves.
On the SHOCK-319 there is a second reason to know this. The manual notes that the Bluefield LED runs for 5 minutes after the battery is first installed or the cover is removed. So taking the cover off to change the color also wakes the magnet indicator, and you can confirm alignment with the opening closed before you walk away.
Fits the SHOCK-319. Changing a cover: 1. Slide the old cover forward and lift it off. 2. Slide the black cover on until it seats. 3. Do the same for the magnet cover on the moving part of the door or window. Full pack contents are in the Specifications tab, and the SHOCK-319 installation manual covers the sensor itself.

After any cover change, re-test the sensor at the panel. Use the control panel's sensor test or Go/No Go test before you leave the site, and confirm the zone restores with the door or window closed. Seat the magnet base on the moving part of the opening and keep the gap inside the sensor's published limit. These are cosmetic housing parts for indoor, dry locations. Refer to the control panel instructions for the limitations of the whole alarm system.
Fitment
These covers fit the SHOCK-319. For the other Versa sensor family, see the MINI Series black covers. Every Versa door, window and shock sensor uses the same slide-off design, so the method below is the same across the line.
The SHOCK-319 uses the larger shock sensor housing, which is why it has its own shock sensor cover pack rather than sharing the MINI one. Panel compatibility, frequency and the reed setting live on the SHOCK-319, not here.

Questions installers ask about Versa sensor covers
What comes in a SHOCK-319 black cover 10-pack?
Thirty pieces. Ten sensor covers, ten magnet covers, and ten magnet bases, all in black. That is a complete housing change for ten sensors and their magnets. Versa sells it as part V0000660.
How do I change the cover on a SHOCK-319?
Slide it. The cover moves forward off the base and lifts away, then the new one slides on until it seats.
1. Slide the old sensor cover forward and lift it off. 2. Slide the black cover on. 3. Repeat for the magnet cover on the moving part of the opening. 4. Re-test the sensor at the panel.
Do I need tools to open the sensor?
No. The cover slides off by hand. No screw to back out, nothing to pry. That is what separates these housings from most wireless sensors, where the usual advice is to work a flathead into the seam.
How do I change the battery in the sensor?
Through the same opening. Slide the cover off, swap the cell, slide the cover back on. The base stays on the frame and the sensor stays enrolled at the panel, so a battery round on twenty sensors is twenty slides rather than twenty pry-and-reassemble jobs.
Use the battery type printed on the sensor and in its manual. The SHOCK-319 installation manual covers the cell type and the replacement warning for that sensor.
Do I have to take the sensor off the frame to change the color?
No. The base and the board stay exactly where they are. Only the outer cover moves, so the mounting, the alignment, and the panel enrollment are all untouched.
Does changing the cover affect the shock sensitivity setting?
The dial is not moved by sliding the cover off, and the setting you tuned stays where you left it. Because the dial sits under the cover, a color change is also a convenient moment to confirm the sensitivity and re-test.
The manual notes that the blue Bluefield LED is active for 5 minutes after the cover is removed. That gives you a window to confirm the magnet is in range with the door or window closed, before you seat the new cover.
Which Versa sensors do these covers fit?
The SHOCK-319. For the MINI door and window contacts, see the MINI Series black covers.
Can I paint a Versa sensor cover?
Yes, and that is one reason the cover is a separate part. It comes off without removing the board, so a cover can go to the paint booth on its own and slide back on afterwards. Mask the indicator window and the label before you spray, and leave the base on the frame.
What colors are available and how do I order in quantity?
White ships on the sensor. Brown and black are stocked as these 10-packs, so one pack of each lets you match wood, stained and dark frames from the same box. Article: how to change a Versa sensor cover.
